Club Sandwich
A tasty classic with a peanutty twist! This club sandwich is sure to please any palette and can be eaten for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

Ingredients
Sandwich
16 strips of bacon |
2 bananas |
2 tbsp (30 mL) lemon juice |
4 tbsp (60 mL) brown sugar |
12 slices of whole wheat bread |
¾ cup (175 mL) creamy peanut butter |
lettuce |
Directions
Fry bacon slices until they are golden brown and crispy. Remove onto a paper towel-lined plate and pat to remove excess oil.
Slice bananas and place them in a bowl. Add lemon juice, then sprinkle with brown sugar.
Spread an even layer of peanut butter on top of all 12 slices of bread. You'll need tor reserve some peanut butter for assembly, so plan accordingly.
To assemble, one slice of bread peanut butter-side up. Top with lettuce leaf, banana and bacon. Cap this off with another slice of bread peanut butter-side down. Spread additional peanut butter on top, then repeat with lettuce, banana and bacon. Top with a third slice of bread.
Repeat this process for the remaining sandwiches.
