Peanut Butter Maple Sauce

- Serves: Makes ⅔ cup (175 mL)
|⅓ cup (75 mL) maple syrup|
|1 wide strip of orange peel|
|½ tsp (2 mL) cinnamon|
|¼ cup (60 mL) peanut butter (smooth or crunchy)|
|1 tsp (5 mL) vanilla|
In a small saucepan, heat syrup with orange peel and cinnamon over low heat. Once it comes to a boil, whisk in peanut butter until melted. Stir in vanilla. Serve warm.
Tip: Sauce can be refrigerated for several days, but will firm up. Reheat before serving.
