Peanut Butter Maple Sauce

Ingredients
Sauce
⅓ cup (75 mL) maple syrup |
1 wide strip of orange peel |
½ tsp (2 mL) cinnamon |
¼ cup (60 mL) peanut butter (smooth or crunchy) |
1 tsp (5 mL) vanilla |
Directions
In a small saucepan, heat syrup with orange peel and cinnamon over low heat. Once it comes to a boil, whisk in peanut butter until melted. Stir in vanilla. Serve warm.
Tip: Sauce can be refrigerated for several days, but will firm up. Reheat before serving.
