According to recent research completed by Leger Marketing, peanut consumption in Canada remains high, pointing towards the popularity of peanut products in Canadian homes. In fact, not only does the research indicate high consumption rates, it paints a picture of tradition and comfort that peanut products provide. - • Overall, peanut and peanut butter consumption in Canada is high (95 per cent consuming peanuts at least every few months)
- • 75 per cent of Canadians consume peanut butter weekly
- • 81 per cent of Canadian males and 79 per cent of Canadian females consume peanuts or peanut butter
- • Residents in Quebec (26 per cent) are twice as likely as the rest of Canada (13 per cent) to eat peanuts on a daily basis
